Picking apples. Pumpkin patches. Hayrides. And bountiful harvests. That's right; fall is finally here! We have been harvesting our Kansas grapes for a few weeks now. In the heat, in the chill, and in the rain, our vineyard crew is hard at work picking local grapes.
Here are some perfect fall suggestions:
Apple Wine - Freshly pressed, local apple juice was slowly fermented at low temperatures in order to retain clean and crisp aromas and flavors of pure, fresh apples.
Catawba - Playful and festive, our 2017 Catawba invites the palette to sip and sip again. Light aromas of honey and pear give way to fruit bouquet of summer harvest flavors. Melon and blood orange are in perfect balance, presented in a bouncy and refreshing body. Light enough for hot summer days, yet sophisticated for those cool autumn nights.
Chambourcin - This elegant dry red wine, Chambourcin 2018, exhibits complex spicy, smoky and earthy aromas and flavors complemented by layers of black cherry and wild berries. Its silky, velvety texture and light to medium body resemble the finest burgundies.
